Intel Leixlip

Intel Leixlip is a major semiconductor manufacturing site operated by Intel Corporation in County Kildare, Ireland. The facility houses multiple 'fabs' (fabrication plants) where silicon wafers are processed to create integrated circuits.

According to a press release published on Pressonify.ai, the site is the subject of a €5 billion investment programme announced in July 2026. Much of the facility's expansion and upgrading occurs within existing permitted envelopes, meaning that significant capital expenditure on manufacturing equipment may not always be reflected in new public planning applications.
